DOWN-THE-HOLE HAMMERS (DTH)

DTH Hammer - Down-the-hole hammers facilitate the transmission of air into the system, either on the compressor, machine or as a separate unit. The aim is to ensure minimal air loss to the hammer. The airflow is compressed within the hammer and this air operates the hammer, which is set to work in a cycle. During one cycle of the piston, air is released from the hammer twice and this ensures that water and rock fragments are carried out during the drilling process. The aim is to spend air in the most effective way.

Approximately 85% of the energy from the piston in the DTH (Down-the-hole) drilling process is due to the connection surface between the bit and the rock. Hammers are specially designed for use in quarries, mines, water drilling and geotechnical engineering to provide high performance with low air consumption. The internal structure of the hammers is designed according to new rock drilling technologies.

DOWN-THE-HOLE DRILLING SYSTEM

DTH Hammer - DTH Bit, The power generated when the piston inside the hammer hits the end of the DTH, creates a shock wave on the rock. When pressure is applied with the bit under load, a contact surface due to pressure forms between the bit and the rock. The reverse reaction shown by the rock depends on the characteristic feature and pressure load of the rock. The down-the-hole drilling system is widely used in production operations such as open pit drilling, water well drilling operations and mineral exploration. Different sized holes required for blasting and drilling operations with various drilling pistols. The energy source of the system is compressed air. Drilling speed increases with the air pressure used, more air pressure means higher drilling speed. Therefore, manufacturing companies produce down-hole pistols that can work up to 25 bar pressure. The down-the-hole drilling system, in addition to its disadvantages such as higher air demand and low drilling speed, is preferred for the following reasons: The hammer must be properly selected according to the current compressor production capacity. It should be noted that the hammer will use an average of 85% of the compressor air production capacity. The bit must be selected according to the rock type to perform the most efficient drilling.
• Reducing internal deviations of the hole.
• Due to the efficient transfer of shock energy to the hole bottom, long holes can be drilled with very little decrease in drilling speed.
• Good cleaning of the hole inside in rugged terrain.
• Easy drilling system for the operator.

DRILL BIT (ROCKBIT)

Drill Bit (rockbit) is a method of opening holes on the earth's surface. Operations such as breaking rocks or cutting incisions in the hole are carried out with principles. The first criterion to be considered when selecting a bit is the low price, long service life, high drilling speed, and low drilling cost.
